Climbing on the Tatoosh Massif

Journal entry Saturday July 8th, 2006. It's a fairly easy scramble up Mount Pinnacle approaching from the SW but for safety we set a lead rope and practiced climbing with a prussic. Below I'm waiting my turn to go up. (This picture courtesy of Dave Bourgeois)

Here is a shot from where I was sitting looking South toward Mount Plummer. You can see a rough trail through the loose rock in the foreground.
Greg and Myron approach. I had endless fun making light of Greg's helmet. In his defense it is quite practical however with more padding than the usual rock helmet and a very comfortable fit.
Left to right, Myron, Beth, Vaqas and Greg discuss the route up Pinnacle:

Here is the decided Mt. Pinnacle approach. You can see the rope leading up in the bottom right hand corner of the picture with one climber already up.
Beth is hooking on as we patiently wait our turn.

Harness check! Dave gets ready to hook on. Notice the loose rope on the ground behind him?
